The adidas Stockholm from 1966 is the latest model to receive some attention, but adidas isn’t going at it alone – the brand has tapped European institution Sneakersnstuff (SNS) to reimagine the trainer as part of a “Hometown Love” Series. The first stop on the trip?: Stockholm, Sweden.
The SNS GT “Stockholm” pays respect to not only the retailer’s home base, but also a modified version of the Stockholm silhouette released in 1980. Clad in “Footwear White”, premium leather uppers feature bold “Blue” contrast at the profile 3-Stripes. Sockliners, which are printed with a map of Stockholm, also indulge in the eye-catching hue. Shimmering “Metallic Gold” accents across the midfoot and tongue add another luxe touch to the inaugural release in the “Hometown Love” Series. Underfoot, the SNS GT “Stockholm” sports a “Chalk White” adidas Handball Spezial outsole, originally produced in and for Austria.
