Not too long ago, adidas introduced their revolutionary new tooling: 4D. Predicted to take the crown of Boost in the near future, the cushioning was positioned as the cutting edge of Three Stripes innovation — its high, initial price tag quickly reminding you of such. But now that production has become increasingly cheaper in recent months, the brand is taking a step back to revive the original Futurecraft 4D.
Reproduced to a near exact spec, the pair’s comeback allows for those who missed out originally to finally buy their way in. When the silhouette was first offered, stock was extremely limited, begetting extremely high asking prices via resell markets. For the initiated, the pair somewhat resembles the Ultraboost, though thanks to its tooling, that likeness is quickly disrupted via the signature green tint of the 3D printed sole. Its lattice construction also warrants attention, much more so than the upper whose Primeknit construction is tinged black near entirely.
Grab a detailed look at this revival here and expect to see it on adidas.com later this Spring at a new retail of $220 USD.
In unrelated news, they’re bringing back the Fragment Dunk City Pack.
