The quote-unquote Gucci look has been one of the most popular colourways for this season. This is the second Nike Dunk High Premium to feature the combination of forest green, deep red and black. DJ Clark Kent’s version repped the East coast for the Rivalry Pack but this joint is a little more specific. Released by Nike SB, these were originally designed by Girl Skateboards in 2005 to drop alongside the Diamond Supply ‘Tiffany’ Nike SB Dunk Low.
Apparently Crailtap wasn’t happy that Girl would give such a dope design to Nike, given their own Lakai footwear label. They axed the project, but now we’re getting an updated version for late 2009. These come with ‘RESN’ on the tongue tag, a shout to Girl’s Sam Smyth, who used to spray that tag for the IBC crew all over the Bay Area.
