Andrew Rizzo Even among myriad other styles by iconic media franchises, the Lightning McQueen Crocs stand tall as one most popular and widely known collaborations by the foam footwear maker. As 2026 year marks the 20th anniversary of the original “Cars” movie premiere, Pixar and Crocs are celebrating the occasion with another collaboration that only the realest of real “Cars” fans are bound to grasp at first glance.
Following a May 2025 drop that gave us Mater in Classic Clog form, Pixar and Crocs are adding multiple new styles to the lineup. The first is Lightning McQueen, now wrapped in light blue Dinoco livery inspired by a version of him seen briefly during the “Dinoco Daydream” scene in the OG movie. The main touch worth noting, beyond the obvious, is the addition of a spoiler on the heel strap.
The other style, unveiled by film and entertainment creator @patrickadougall, takes inspiration from Ramone with a purple colorway and flame graphics. This style is apparently exclusive to Disney’s D23 fan event happening this coming weekend in Anaheim. Not that it has anything to do with this collaboration, but Ramone is a 1959 Chevy Impala, the same vehicle that inspires the upcoming Nike Book 2 “Pretty Penny.” Funny coincidence.
