Air Jordan 12 “Atmos Jade” Exclusively For atmoscon

As evidenced by the Nike Vegam Run, the regionality of sneakers is no longer just a coy way to drum up anticipation for one-off releases, but now a massive load-bearing pillar in Nike, Inc.’s strategy. We saw another tick in that strategy with the Air Jordan 12 “Sumo” earlier this year, a Japan exclusive that pulled from the island’s sport culture. As atmoscon tips off in Tokyo, the vaunted collaborator might be notching another one with the Air Jordan 12 “Atmos Jade.”

Given their work on the Air Max series, the imprint has long been one of the more well-regarded collaborators in Beaverton’s rolodex, its sole previous effort coming on the Air Jordan 3 in 2017. That AJ3 was pinned against a Safari-coated Air Max 1, and though there doesn’t appear to be a pack release in the works for this atmos Air Jordan 12, it’s hard to remove their backlog from this pair all the same. An elephant print special shoebox pairs with the heavy use of signature teal across the mudguard, midsole, and collar to form a tacit nod to their 2007 Air Max 1 collab, one revisited for its ten-year anniversary in 2017.

It’s expected that those in attendance at atmosCon will get the chance to pick up a pair, but beyond that, release details are limited at the time of this writing.
