People commonly think of rockstars as fashion innovators, but it’s usually the lesser known folks surrounding the scene who actually set those trends (think NitroLicious … and we thank them for the pics). LA-based artist and tastemaker extraordinairre Kime Buzzelli represents the latter, having lived above her Show Pony exhibition space in Echo Park, CA since its establishment in 2000. The lady Off the Wall calls “The Coolest Girl Ever” designed two new pairs of Vans Wellesly models with women in mind. The teal and black leather uppers are laid over a CYMK-based design that’s sure to be among the hottest looks for the gurls this summer when they drop on June 1, 2009.
