In Troma’s cult classic The Toxic Avenger, Melvin Ferd is transformed into a hilariously unique superhero of sorts. It looks like Nike may have decided to reappropriate the role in their street-level adaptation. It’s unclear whether pro snowboarder Gigi Rüf’s insignia is etched into the wing of the Nike SB ‘Toxic Avenger’ Dunk Low as a sign of things to come, or whether it’s just a welcome gift for the newest member of Nike Snowboarding. It appears that these are ‘samples’, as the SB-signature stuffed tongue is clearly absent. Either way, take a look at this pic and compare it to the ones we’ve already seen before after the jump.
