Though collabs may seem to be a big deal, in the bigger picture, shoe brands only rely on them for branding and street cred- not sales. Nonetheless, adidas has been on a serious prowl working with other brands and such. Adding to adidas Originals’ ongoing Five Two-3 Project, Nom De Guerre was asked to apply their fashion savvy to these Forum Mids. Following a military motif found in many of their collections, the design approach matches armed forces’ standards in look and function. The details are flawless- from the waxed laces and zippered tongue enclosure, the the sole resembling shooting targets and ankle strap saluting the fallen by looking like gauze bandaging.
