Nike Air Hoop Structure – Black – Aqua – Purple – December 2009

Let’s take a closer look at one of the first pairs that really got people excited to talk about the Nike Air Hoop Structure.  What’s undeniable with this edition of the runner cum basketball midtop is its homage to Kanye West’s favourite, the Air Jordan VIII (8) ‘Aqua’.  It’s a popular colourway, but this pair goes one step further and applies the AJVIII’s signature sweeping lines to its rear midsole.  The combination of purple and turquoise does well on these, reinforcing the parentheses these draw around the last two decades.  Stick with Sneaker News, as they should be dropping sometime in the next two months, so we’ll keep you posted.
