The Nike Zoom Kobe V iD was officially launched last December, giving Kobe fans the opportunity to mock up their own user-specific colorways and themes. During the Kobe V iD Launch, Sneaker News was given the opportunity to experiment with the revolutionary customization process, and we chose two different paths to test out the broad range of the Kobe V iD capabilities.
For the first pair, we wanted to emphasize the pure design and technology of the Kobe V, spurning the intricate graphics and metallic colorways for that of a simplistic design emphasizing the Flywire and overall silhouette.
Combined with the purple laces and inner lining, the result was a great colorway that Kobe himself could be wearing on the court.
For our second experiment, we had a little fun; a lustrous metallic silver was the go-to color and one of the detailed patterns were used on the black center and toe panels. You can even notice the black-on-black speckling on the midsole. As you can see, the possibilities are truly endless; a plethora of colors, textures, and graphics can be used to your satisfaction, but we wanted to show you what Sneaker News’ ideal Zoom Kobe V looked like.
