We saw some catalog images back in March, but here’s the world’s first look at a real pair of Nike LBJ Ambassador IIIs. They were previously referred to as ‘Zoom Ambassador III’ because both of the previous Asia-exclusive Ambassadors had Zoom cushioning, but in these new shots, it’s clear we’re dealing with a Max Air unit in the heel plus Zoom in the forefoot. The pair pictured above is all black, but reveals a particularly intriguing detail: the medial heel insignias bear a strong resemblance to the immortal Nike Air Max 90’s lateral branding, applying the ultra-smooth ‘ambassador iii’ script to a ribbed polygonal panel that also bears the King’s lion logo.
