One of the more anticipated sneaker releases of the second half of 2010 is the Varsity Purple colorway of the Nike Air 1/2 Cent. News of this colorway of the 1/2 Cent first emerged in early March and now that a release has been confirmed for later this year, check out these new detailed images of the Eggplant colorway. The upper features the velvety purple Foamposite with an icy-blue translucent sole. “Ice” soles on other releases have appeared blue in images so we can expect the sole to be more “clear”. Another interesting point is that the insole features Lil’ Penny spreading his arms with a basketball, but a previous review of the show featured an x-ray of the Penny mascot with his skeleton visible.
