While the Air Jordan Legacy ‘For the Love of the Game’ display accentuated the university blue and white colorway, it was in 1992 when Michael Jordan’s love of basketball reached an international level, when he co-led the 1992 Dream Team to a dominating victory. Release tomorrow, August 13th, is the Air Jordan VII (7) Olympic colorway; Jordan Brand has displayed some leniency with its Saturday-only release dates, with both the Air Jordan IX (9) ‘For the Love of the Game’ and Citrus Retro falling mid-week and this highly anticipated Quickstrike releasing on a Friday.

It’s not all for nothing though, as the August 13th release of the Olympic VII was set to coincide with the 1992 Dream Team’s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, when Jordan, Barkley, Magic, Bird, and others will forever be enshrined as the greatest group of talent in the history of the sport. The Air Jordan VII (7) Olympic will be available at select Jordan Brand retailers , Niketown locations, and for the NYC-based sneakerheads, Footaction on 34th St. will have a midnight release. Continue reading for an interesting comparison of the Olympic VII from ’92, ’04, and ’10, and be sure to cop a pair tomorrow. via regularolty.
