With the World Basketball Festival coming to a close, Sneaker News can now focus on daily reports on kicks, and this week was no slouch! First up was a rumor regarding another Air Jordan V package. Staying on the JB side of things, we brought you a look at the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Armor (with Foam!) as well as a Jordan x Air Max sample worn by Mark Smith. Following up on our coverage of the Air Jordan ‘FTLOTG’ Laser Collection from last week, we brought you a detailed look at AJ1 to AJ13. Some more eye candy came in the form of old-school footage, as Sneaker News compiled some rare images of NBA superstars past and present wearing Air Jordan heat, but kept you in with the new as we brought you images from the 2010 NBA Rookie Class photo shoot.
One of the bigger stories of this summer was the Foamposite x Air Force 1, but looks like a second colorway is on the way. Speaking of upcoming releases, Sneaker News brought you an exclusive look at the black/grey/volt color-combo of the soon-to-release Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid, and we also confirmed a curious Kobe sample to be Mr. Mamba’s sixth signature shoe. Adidas, Vans, and Converse made some noise on the skate side of things by introducing their upcoming line, but it was Nike SB that stole the show as notable team members shredded a converted Rucker Park and partied in Lower Manhattan to celebrate P-Rod’s fourth sig.
