Sometimes you find sneakerheads in places you least expect it. Of course it’s easy to spot one on the NBA court but guys in Major League Baseball are tough to pinpoint. As if the spotlight wasn’t bright enough on the World Champion San Francisco Giants closer, Brian Wilson just outed himself as a sneakerhead by wearing some interesting footwear over the season. He first got our attention when he debuted a bright orange pair of Nike baseball cleats during the MLB All-Star Game and got fined by the league for wearing it during a game against the Florida Marlins. He followed that up with a sweet pair of the Nike Air Max 90, which features the Hufquake graphic on a black/orange colorway with ‘Sandman’ iD’ed on the rear portion of the mudguard. Then came a guest appearance on the Jay Leno show, where Wilson wore the Reebok Pump Court Victory Respect Pack, and finally his march down the heart of San Francisco in a pair of the Radii 420 High Top in a shiny metallic silver. Is Brian Wilson a sneakerhead? At the very least, he’s conscious of the kicks around him. Let’s hope ‘The Machine’ comes out with some sick PE Cleats next season when the Giants begin their title defense. Check out the nice gallery of Brian Wilson’s kicks throughout the year and let us know what sort of beard-related cleat ideas you have! via Yahoo!/NT.
