The Nike Zoom Don borrowed the soul of the classic Zoom Spiridon and transformed itself into a mid-cut basketball shoe with the supreme Zoom cushioning that made the Spiridon such a beloved running shoe. The transition from running trail to basketball court didn’t go quite smoothly and the Zoom Don, despite a neat design, didn’t perform so well in retail. Outside of the two OG-inspired colorways and the House of Hoops exclusive tonal varsity red pair, the book was closed on the Zoom Don. Recently Sneaker News showed you a black/white unreleased sample of the Zoom Don, but it appears that Nike may have had larger plans in mind. Here’s a look at yet another unreleased colorway of the Nike Zoom Don that was spotted at a Nike Factory Store; it features a tonal black upper with a blue midsole, and given the packaging of this shoe, the Zoom Don may have been prepped for an Air Attack-like release – which would have been a head-scratching move because the Zoom Don doesn’t even feature visible Air. Check out the extra shots after the jump and do some Nike Factory Store hunting because you never know what gems you might end up with! via NT.
