Jordan Brand Signs NASCAR Driver Denny Hamlin

An odd couple, or a shrewd marketing strategy? At the outset, Jordan Brand and NASCAR might seem like oil and water, but Michael Jordan has a huge passion for automotive racing and own his own motorcycle-racing team called Michael Jordan Motorsports. Perhaps Michael has plans on getting his feet wet in NASCAR as well, because Jordan Brand just added NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin to the Jordan Brand team. Hamlin won’t be wearing Jordans during races, but will feature the iconic Jumpman logo on Hamlin’s belt, back shoulders, and racing gloves. Jordan Brand and Hamlin developed a relationship last year, during which Hamlin was second in points-standings in the Sprint/Nextel Cup.
