The adidas Artillery got quite a bit of play early last year with a trio of NBA All-Star 2010 colorways and a collaboration with Slick drawing more attention to this classic basketball shoe than it’d seen since the late-2008 Jeremy Scott designs. And after another conspicuous absence, the Artillery is back with Three Stripes’ prominent high-contrast color leanings taking hold on the overlay of this otherwise black pair. This blacklit rainbow motif has the look of a wax etching, their kaleidoscopic effect carrying over to an outsole that looks like you stepped in a checkout aisle’s worth of chewing gum.
