The Air Jordan VI was released in a cardboard box. The Air Jordan XVII, however, was released in a silver briefcase. Such a stark contrast between two shoes that mark two notable milestones in Michael Jordan’s career is a true testament to how the brand has evolved over time. The Air Jordan VI and Air Jordan XVII don’t share much in terms of design, but when meshed together, it creates a functional hybrid, aptly titled the 6-17-23. Perhaps an in-step shroud from the Air Jordan XVII would’ve been a nice touch, but we the balance between VI and XVII is achieved fluidly in this two-model hybrid. Jordan Brand had set the release date for the College Blue 6-17-23 for late April, but were pushed back to May 21st. Looks like another change has been made because Extra Butter has these available now, so check your local retailer or pick up a pair on eBay.
