After last year’s Nike Air Attack releases of the Nike Air Maxim 1, we haven’t seen much from the revamped Nike Air Max 1. The Maxim 1 is a lightweight version of the original Air Max shoe, using lighter materials like a Flywire composite upper and a thin mesh toe-box, and served as part of Nike Sportswear’s reinvention of its classic silhouettes. With the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse hitting stores soon, what do we make of the Maxim 1? Will it fade away or will we see more releases? This new tonal Blue Spark colorway says that we might expect more, but it’s strange to see a colorway so close to the tonal Varsity Royal that released just a year ago. This version features a golden yellow forefoot outsole and black at the heel for a bit of contrast.
