How can two things Vans has been doing for quite a while (chukka-flavored sneaker designs and floppy, deconstructed builds) come together as one? It’s as simple as the new Vans California Chukka Decon CA for Holiday 2011. This one’s about as close as you can get to the traditional desert boot without a crepe sole, Off the Wall, of course, opting instead for a waffle-tread vulcanized bottom that features an especially pronounced foxing band. It’s tonal on each pair, but provides a different look on tonal black pair than the red and brown editions, thanks to the latter pair’s contrasting soles.
