Nike Air Flight 89 True Blue Sample 1

The Nike Air Flight ’89 was one of the first sneakers to represent Nike Basketball’s ‘Flight’ wing (the anti-thesis to the rough-edged Force). At that point, Michael Jordan was considered to take the helm for the new Flight squad, but Nike chose to go forward with the Air Jordan line, and appointed Ron Harper as the face of Nike Flight – with the Air Flight ’89 right beside him. Now considered a classic by many Nike connoisseurs, the Air Flight ’89 was re-issued quite a number of times over the decade, but there’s no doubt it’s a shoe that we can’t get enough of. Sneaker News gave you a preview of Spring 2012 releases of this Flight originator, and here we have a look at a sample of the White/Blue/Red colorway (we’ll call it the ‘True Blue’ for now). These are expected to release in early 2012, so take another look below and check out the listing from loco_1979 on eBay.
