The mere mention of the word ‘Iron’ in conjunction with a Nike SB Dunk used to have a 1:1 correspondence with a 2003 Dunk High SB covered in suede of that shade. But then last summer, Swoosh skateboarding revisited this colorway as they have with so many Silver Box classics, which left Google’s SERPs suggesting that last year’s was the more significant release. And while this isn’t exactly factually accurate, it does indeed reflect the extent to which Nike SB has started looking to the past as well as generally ‘older’ looking colorways over the past couple years. This new Nike SB Dunk Mid pictured above in black, Iron and white is a good example, it’s vaguely Raiders-leaning design one of those simple yet effective color combos that could just as easily have been released ten years ago.
