Take one good look at the Nike Basketball Elite Series and you’ll get a firm idea on what Nike Basketball’s direction will be for the LeBron, Kobe, and Hyperdunk over the course of the coming years. But for designing the Air Penny V, a sneaker with a spirit from over a decade ago, Nike chose to go back in time and follow up from the Air Max Penny IV and continue the Penny series as if it had never missed a beat. That’s over a decade of design evolution that is being overlooked, so while it looks like the sneaker could’ve been designed in the 90’s it’s got contemporary Nike build – it’s like the best of both worlds. Check out the ‘on-feet’ shots of both the Black/Royal ‘Orlando’ colorway and the spicier ‘Miami Dolphins’ joints and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates on the Air Penny V. Photos: kumastock
