New Balance are the unquestioned kings of grey suede classic runners, but for their latest release, your favorite US/UK brand applied their no-nonsense formula to a trail boot. The end result is equally satisfying as the New Balance ML875GR skips the ‘& mesh’ part of the golden era running equation and simply dipped the whole thing in supple suede. The speckled rear midsole is vital here to add a bit of depth to an otherwise ‘blank’ design, perhaps in tribute to the original 580 (which later gave birth to the beloved MT580) from which the tooling was borrowed.
