Animal prints have made their marks in mainstream fashion over the last few years, but Nike Sportswear has ‘unleashed the beast’ with its sneakers on quite a number of occasions over the entire decade. The Air Force 1 ‘Savage Beast’ and the Air Max 1/95 Supreme releases have utilized that pony-hair applique in a variety of prints, but this latest feral offering from Nike Sportswear should remind you of one the earlier animal-print kicks of the sneaker game – the Nike Dunk Low ‘Daktari’. Like this never-before-seen Air Max 90, the Daktari Dunks featured a similar zebra-print on the upper (although it was inspired by a car from the 60’s TV show ‘Daktari’), but this Air Max 90 adds a ‘touch’ aspect with that furry pony-hair material. These have been spotted overseas in Asia, but we’ll give you a heads up should these ever come across the ocean. Photos: kookieshk
