Funny bit of info (pulled from the ‘front page of the internet’ known as reddit): a major film studio passed on producing ‘The Watchmen’ live action film because the studio’s execs believed the script was, to put it nicely, not very good. Despite the massive budget that went into filming, ‘The Watchmen’ was still a success, in that it made a hefty profit at the box office, and today continues to be considered as a ‘cult hit’ despite its rather large box office draw.
