The word ‘derby’ has quite a few different meanings, but just about all of them trace their roots back to the town of Derbyshire, England. That’s where the 12th Earl kicked off the first horse races at Epsom Downs in 1780, as well as the birthplace of the basis of the iconic blucher. Somewhere between horse racing and footwear design is this New Balance 576 ‘Derby Pack’, a trio representing ‘Fighter’, ‘Legend’ and ‘Ladies’ characters and their connections to thoroughbred racing.
