Nike Air Current “University Red”

Sneaker News showed you a brand new Nike Air Current configuration on Monday, a fresh Stadium Green getup whose use of a roughly inverted blocking pattern in addition to a second accent color and speckling showed this old dog is ready to learn some new tricks after a quarter-century hiatus.  Here’s an example of exactly what we mentioned in that first rundown, another familiar color combination being applied to that template as a Miami Heat vibe arises from the combination of University Red on the overlay plus golden citrus accents on the branding, eyelets and outsole.  Might more similar styles be on tap for Nike Sportswear’s upcoming plans?  Check back with us to find out and enjoy more photos of this University Red Air Current after the jump.
