There’s no better designer to ask to put a spin on a classic adidas silhouette than Jeremy Scott, whose bold Originals by Originals collaborations have been among the most ostentatious and polarizing in recent memory. His latest effort comes on the model most strongly associated with the Brand with the Three Stripes, a predictably bold take on the classic Shelltoe lowtop that reprises a theme of which we’ve seen a few examples since last year. The Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals Superstar 80s ‘Ripple’ applies polka dots atop a crinkled leather upper whose texture and material carries over to the iconic rubber bumper. Another style that proves 2012 is truly a year filled with ‘Golden Moments’, this JS Superstar 80s just touched its Trefoil-tractioned soles down at Caliroots.
