We don’t see too much of the old Pro Court model any more, so it’s about time for Asics to come through with some ’80s hoops vibes. But instead of going directly for a basketball bringback, the Asics Kaeli Hi gives us a playful twist for the winter season. The Kaeli looks at first glance to be in the Blazer/Pro Leather range but with more of a Centennial/First Round effect at the ankle. That likely won’t be apparent, though, as this pack’s key feature is a fuzzy sockliner that reveals itself via fold-down. Brown, navy and grey pairs all go the monochromatic route for the liners, laces and branding, and you can see how this new Asics hightop manages a balance between super-high cut and low profile construction in additional photos below. Titolo just got them in womens sizes, but might some adventurous guys lace up and fold ’em down?
