Will sneakers ever get any love in the film industry? Don’t hold your breath for a newly-minted footwear category in the Academy Awards, but some shoes definitely deserve something along the lines of a ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. This past weekend, The Good Will Out presented the ‘Kicks On Film’ showcase – a full exhibit paying homage to the Nike Mag and its bridging the gap between kicks and movies. The Mag went from being an amazing movie-prop to one of the most celebrated sneaker releases in Nike’s history, but don’t expect the brand to stop there (Tinker hinted at another 2015 release).
