It’s finally here – a first look at this year’s Air Jordan installment of the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle. For the last five years, the Doernbecher x Air Jordan has been the undisputed standout of the bunch, with last year’s Superman-inspired Air Jordan IV being one of the more coveted sneaker releases of the year. This year, Jordan Brand has selected the Air Jordan IX – currently one of the trending Air Jordan models amidst the “Kilroy Pack” and other highlight releases; designed by Oswaldo Jimenez, the Air Jordan IX Doernbecher features a distinct feather detail that is derived from Oswaldo’s nickname of “Pollito”, which translates to “Chicken Little”. This is also the first-ever Air Jordan IX to feature a translucent outsole.
