Nike broke new ground with the all-new fully uncaged Air Max unit engineered specifically for the all-new Air Max flagship runner. What resulted was four years of pure dominance by the advancement in Air Max technology, but for 2013, it’s time for a new Air Max to take the helm. Emphasizing the needs of runners, Nike created the new 2013 Max Air unit to provide the utmost in lightweight comfort while focusing on heel-to-toe support and natural motion by minimizing the internal walls of the unit and constructing the inner tubes to move with the runner’s foot. The upper features the lightweight Hyperfuse construction with open-hole mesh for maximum breathability, while the interior build of the shoe keeps the foot locked in place with minimal stress thanks to a notched inner sleeve and a molded collar.
The Air Max+ 2013 continues the award-winning heritage of visible Air Max that began with Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 1 of 1987. Hardcore runners and Nike enthusiasts point to the annual Air Max flagship as one of the keynote releases of the year, and with the introduction of this re-engineered Max Air unit, the evolution of Air Max is set to create new precedents in Nike Running for years to come. Expect the Air Max+ 2013 to become available in January 2013 for both men and women.
