As usual, there were plenty of news headlines to keep on top of, and as usual, Sneaker News was first to report on all the major stories. If you missed them all and depend on Weekly Rewind, here it is! Starting off, Jordan Brand postponed the release of the Thunder IV, but some new Air Jordan IIIs for 2013 turned those frowns upside down. Release dates for the Fighter Jet Foams was something to note, as was the funky ‘Scales’ colorway of the Kobe 8. NBA is back in full force and the Feet sightings are better than ever, while the celebs like Rihanna and Kanye garnered plenty of attention with their kicks. The Supreme x Air Force 1 finally released this week, while two new SB Dunk collaborations were slowly revealed as well. The next Air Max model in the series was unveiled as the Air Max+ 2013, featuring a brand new Max Air unit design.
Reebok made massive headlines with a first look at the Shaq Attaq and release info for the OG ES22 and White/Red Answer IV. Puma returns to prominence with a preview of the upcoming Ronnie Fieg-penned disc blaze, while EU kingpin Solebox works some more magic with adidas. New Balance takes us through the Flimby Factory with ‘The Making Of the Black Pigeon’, while a New England-exclusive set of 574s received some satisfactory nods. Custom kicks went Mache-less this week, although Brian Villanueva’s HyperMags might be one of the best of the year. A look at five WMNS Air Jordan Retros was the focus on Classics Revisited, but a Tuesday-night feature on the EA Sports x Nike partnership provided some deep insight on this great partnership.
