February is finally here, and it’s promising to be quite the colossal month with respect to sneaker releases. Nike and Jordan are readying its set of NBA All-Star releases, but there were still a ton of new headlines this week that surfaced, like the first look at the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Green Camo’, the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’89, two new Kobe 8 colorways, and a slew of Foamposite updates and previews. The Air Jordan XX8 Days of Flight campaigned continued, wherein excitement has probably peaked thanks to the arrival of the Air Jordan XI and the news that the entire set would be given away! A ‘Sprite’ colorway of the LeBron seems to be returning for the LeBron X Low, an exclusive look at Concord SB Dunks was provided, and a high-top version of the Lunar Force 1 surfaced as well.
The San Francsico 49ers showed up to the Super Bowl with footwear fit for some champions, and Russell Westbrook proved that his short tenure with Jordan Brand is already affording him some killer exclusives. We got a look at some more exciting stuff from adidas both from the old and the new, the adidas T-Mac and the adidas Basketball 2013 NBA All-Star collection, respectively. New Balance kept the cogs turning as far as collaborations go with a new edition in their J.Crew partnership along with the launch of their Herschel Supply Co. curated capsule. Vans showed off some crazy patterned sneakers, Michael Jordan showed up in figurine form, and the Sneaker News book landed right here in our office and ready to ship.
