The week leading up to Easter was quite the busy one here at Sneaker News. Just today a boatload of releases from Nike dropped-the Nike Air Foamposite One “White”, the Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Hero Pack”, and Nike Basketball’s Big Three “Easter” joints to name a few. March Madness continued and we continued to keep you updated on what folks were wearing in the Big Dance. Of course there was Foamposite Madness as well, our tourney to crown a Nike Air Penny champion. Jordan Brand dropped a sizable preview of their May 2013 releases on us and we managed to a sneak peeks at ucpoming retros like the Air Jordan VIII “Knicks” and the Air Jordan V “Black Grape”. LeBron, KD, and Kobe all battled it out for headlines by showing off new Elite series stuff that they’ve got on the way and Supreme made a splash for the Spring as we saw what they’ve been working on with the Nike SB Tennis Classic.
Elsewhere the Barkley Posite Max fired off another shot demanding respect in the rookie of the year race with a new “Suns” looking colorway. Nike Sportswear promised a creative Easter egg style hunt for the Nike Lunar Force 1 featuring just 100 pairs of the special editions up for grabs. The Twitter RSVP system was remixed a little bit, Griffey showed up fresh off of safari, and Reebok hit the turf with their Scrimmage retros. adidas kept things varied across the week, showing up on the radar with everything from PEs to new skate offerings. J.Crew went back to the New Balance well, Vans teamed up with CNCPTS, and we pondered which player in the NBA has the star power to lock down a signature shoe.
