New Balance 574 “Alpine Pack”

The last time New Balance did something called ‘Alpine’, it was an extremely popular 2012 collaboration with West NYC.  Perhaps in the same way that we can see ties between this year’s New Balance 574 ‘Yacht Pack’ and CNCPTS’ instant classic ‘Kennedy’ 999s, this new set of 574s draws on the success of West’s MT580s.  The coloring is entirely different, though four renditions connect with ski/snowboard apparel through vibrant two-tone palettes plus a reflective gradient on the heel counter that resembles polarized eyewear.  The NB574 ‘Alpine Pack’ should arrive in stores this June, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.
