New Balance kicked off the 1980s with the latest updates to their low-profile ’70s designs. Both of the 1980 babies have been all but forgotten with the 574, 999, 1300 and a few others at the top of the power rankings, but luckily, NB is bringing back this model with some degree of regularity. These New Balance 620s are treated to upgraded materials courtesy of the fine folks in Flimby at NB’s legendary ‘Made in England’ origin. Black or navy pairs with crisp white accents show you how this style progressed in a short time to the more robust 990 (and this year on 30th anniversary drops), and you can pre-order them starting in June at Hanon as a July 2013 ship-date has been reported.
