The Yellow/Purple colorway has an interesting tie to Kevin Durant. It was the colorway of the Seat Pleasant rec center where KD honed most of his eventual superstar-tier game, but once he joined the NBA and the Lakers became their rivals, he urged Seat Pleasant to change the colors to Teal and Yellow, seen in the inline debut colorway of the Nike KD VI. Turns out Yellow and Purple will be back to some degree as we get a first look at this new colorway, which features a unique purple detailing on the forefoot of the shoe. Still plenty to see regarding KD’s sixth signature shoe (especially since the next Nike Basketball signature won’t release until October), so check out the full shot below and keep it locked in on Sneaker News for all your KD updates.
