The CLOT team are no strangers to working with the Nike Air Max 1. Before this year’s edition, they had already hit a home run on the model back in 2006 via the “Kiss of Death” pair. Shown here are their two takes on Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 masterpiece side by side. As you can see, they aren’t completely separate in terms of aesthetic choice, as both pairs put on an icy outsole with a barefoot graphic and a gridded insole. The 2006 pair of course went way left of field with its see-through toebox, a detail the 2013 iteration echoes just a little bit via that breathable Hyperfuse touch.
