They started calling Frank Thomas ‘The Big Hurt’ in Chicago back in the early 90s; might’ve had something to do with him completely clobbering the ball en route to two consecutive MVPs before he turned 27. The fact that he stood 6’5″, 240 was another good reason, so even at the tail end of his hall of fame career, this 500+ HR hitter remained an imposing figure. This Reebok Big Hurt in white and tonal blue seems to connect with the Toronto Blue Jays with whom Thomas spent most of his last two seasons (and keep in mind, there’s an ‘Oakland Athletics’ colorway coming up honoring those last 50 or so games of 2008).
