When it comes to sneakers with eyeball add-ons, the list begins and ends with ALIFE’s 2007 Asics Gel Lyte III two-pack. Or it did before today, anyway, as adidas Originals has gone and upset the order of things with their own eyes hanging off the laces of this new pair. The adidas ZX 500 ‘Shark’ stands out for these add-ons as well as the use of a zig-zag pattern on the toebox, unprecedented in this oft-retroed classic runner’s history.
