Ever since Nike Basketball introduced its Elite series of post-season models, gold has been part of the equation. Instead of being the first pairs to the party this year, the “Gold Collection” hops in line at a later point – they’ll be releasing on June 6th, 2014. As you can see, the KD 6 Elite Gold and the Kobe 9 Elite Gold end up with a white base while the LeBron 11 Elite Gold has sort of an “Away” feel due to the darker tones. Take a look at all three after the break and tell us in the comments which of these Nike Basketball Elite series pairs, which will be the last of this year’s Elites barring any sort of Championship pairs, you’re feeling the most.

As the playoffs begin on April 19, every game becomes increasingly worth its weight in gold.
LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant represent Nike Basketball’s gold standard. Their collective commitment, work ethic and winning ways have resulted in seven world championship trophies with their sights set on more to come. The Nike Basketball Elite Series Gold Collection is designed to their championship specifications.
Gold hues, premium materials, advanced construction and athlete insights inform this advanced trio of signature shoes in a single collection featuring the LEBRON 11 Elite, KOBE 9 Elite and KD VI Elite.
LEBRON 11 ELITE GOLD
Designed to fit the reigning MVP and world champ’s game, the LEBRON 11 Elite Gold edition is strong and sleek, all in black and set off by gold-colored detailing. The shoe represents an evolution of the LEBRON 11, now with a lower cut and new articulated external cage to keep him contained for the playoffs. The Hyperposite protection and dynamic Flywire fiber in the upper combine with Lunarlon cushioning and a Nike Zoom unit in the midsole to maximize performance.
KOBE 9 ELITE GOLD
The KOBE 9 Elite is the brand’s first basketball shoe featuring Flyknit, which defies conventional shoe manufacturing processes by creating a one-piece engineered upper made from single strands of yarn. The KOBE 9 Elite Gold sports a white upper with gray, black and gold details throughout. Designed by Eric Avar as Bryant’s most provocative shoe to date, it maximizes innovation with Lunarlon, dynamic Flywire and carbon fiber throughout.
KD VI ELITE GOLD
For the first time in a KD signature shoe, this new Elite version boasts a full-length, visible Nike Zoom unit that runs through the entire midsole. Maximizing breathability and strength, the KD VI Elite Gold moves precisely and naturally with the foot while featuring new design details such as a ’35-6’ logo on the shoe’s tongue. This primarily white shoe features Flywire technology, reinforced with Kevlar® aramid fibers, providing Durant with lockdown support fitting for scoring champs.
