$3 Million Worth of Stolen Nike Sneakers Recovered Five Years Later

In 2009, a large shipment of Nike sneakers from a distribution facility in Tennessee headed for Texas was stolen, and five years later, that shipment was recovered by local police in Harden County, who noticed them sprawled on a front lawn. Those in possession claimed they purchased the shoes from other and sold each pair at local flea markets for $5 per pair, and by matching order numbers, Nike confirms that the shoes were indeed the same that went missing in 2009. Although it’s not quite clear what sort of Nike sneakers were part of this cache, one of the sellers claims there was “every kind of Air Jordan” as well as dress shoes from Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez’ womens footwear line as well.
