Having the licensing to official NBA merchandise definitely has its perks, but it’s one that the three stripes hasn’t utilized too often in regards to its basketball silhouettes. That’s all set to change as the latest adidas Crazy 8 features an obvious Lakers theme that stitches the Hollywood squad’s logo on the tongue and ankle collar. The sneaker gets a vibrant yellow base while a synthetic snakeskin mesh hits the side panels, something that shouldn’t be viewed too much of a coincidence considering this at one point was Kobe’s signature sneaker and his Black Mamba moniker is of itself a snake reference. The model even gets a cool palm tree pattern on the heel to further the Los Angeles references as a purple ’09 circle references one of the Lakers’ most recent championships.
