Bronzed Air Jordans by Matt Senna

Bronzed Air Jordans by Matt Senna

We’ve plenty of variations of sneaker art, mostly arriving before our eyes in the form of paintings (or customs) and sculptures. Artist Matt Senna brings to light a relatively foregone method of gilding as he brings this metal on the outermost layer of some Air Jordans (unDS, it seems). Senna’s reasoning behind this process? To provide two contrasting views on Jordans – they’re either an homage to the past by freezing them in time, or a statement that exposes the unnecessarily idyllic nature of these sneakers. Either way, these bronzed Jordans would make a dope piece of furniture around the right house. Check out some extra photos of Matt’s work below and peep some more of his thoughts in this interview with The Hundreds.
