Raf Simons’ Face Featured on Upcoming adidas Stan Smith Collaboration

Raf Simons Adidas Originals Stan Smith Collaboration 01

As the continued resurgence of the adidas Stan Smith persists, the collaborations, fittingly so, get more creative with each new rendition. After the joint effort with American Dad and countless others, the Three Stripes looks to their partnership with Belgian fashion designer, Raf Simons, for an upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 line. Of course having worked with Simons on several collections, the high fashion designer now gets a crack at the Stans. And in a unique twist not often seen with the silhouette, the shoes tongue, which typically highlights the sneakers inspiration figure, will split duties with Simons. In a preview showcasing black and purple pairs, Simons’ face appears on the leather tongue of the left shoe, with Stan appearing opposite on the right. If you remember, the collaborative pairs were worn on the runway during Simons S/S ’15 runway show during Paris Fashion Week this past summer. Check out the preview below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more, and peep the Sneaker Release Dates calendar for updates.
