Is this the Air Jordan 1 “Chinese New Year”? Unfortunately not. We’ve already seen Jordan Brand usher in the Chinese Zodiac calendar with an upcoming Air Jordan 29, but here we see a appropriate red arrive on the classic Air Jordan 1 Retro High. In a look reminiscent of last year’s “Gym Red” pair that never made its way stateside, a combination of red tumbled leather and suede occupy the fairly monotone upper while a clean gum outsole finishes things off. The only noticeable branding on the shoe are the Chinese characters in white while a custom bamboo casing adds to the premium affair. More photos of this custom below.
