Despite the hype behind the Pinnacle pairs that boast 24k gold, the $400 Air Jordan 1 might have some competition from a similar shoe on the release date. Nike has confirmed that the Air Jordan 1 “Pinnacle” in black is releasing on May 30th, which is the same day as the release for the “Varsity Red” pair. Given the demand for the original colorway (and the much more lenient price-point of $160 compared to $400 for the Pinnacle), copping both pairs might be a touch pill to swallow.
